Every document your customs broker will ask for

We prepare the full document set for every shipment so your customs clearance goes smoothly the first time.

Commercial Invoice & Packing List

Itemised invoice with unit price, Incoterm and total value, plus a packing list showing carton/bag counts, net & gross weight per package.

Certificate of Origin (COO)

Issued by the local Chamber of Commerce or APEDA, confirming the turmeric was grown and processed in India — needed for preferential duty in many markets.

Phytosanitary Certificate

Issued by India's Plant Quarantine authority confirming the shipment is free of regulated pests and meets the importing country's plant-health rules.

Certificate of Analysis (COA)

Batch-specific lab report covering curcumin assay, moisture, ash, heavy metals, pesticide residue and microbial limits.

Organic Equivalency Certificate

NPOP transaction certificate plus the equivalent USDA NOP or EU 2018/848 certificate, depending on the destination market.

Fumigation Certificate

Confirms the consignment and packaging were fumigated per ISPM-15, required by most customs authorities for wood pallets and bulk cargo.

Bill of Lading / Airway Bill

The transport document issued once cargo is on board — your proof of shipment and the document your bank or broker will call for.

MSDS

Material Safety Data Sheet describing safe handling, storage and transport classification for the product.

APEDA RCMC & IEC

Our Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate and Import Export Code, confirming we're licensed to export spices from India.

    Step 03

Your batch is sorted, dried or milled to spec, then lab-tested. The Certificate of Analysis is issued before packing begins.

  4. 04

    Documentation & Customs Clearance

    Step 04

COO, phytosanitary, fumigation and organic certificates are prepared and filed with Indian customs for export clearance.

  5. 05

    Container Stuffing & Sealing

    Step 05

Cargo is palletised or loose-stuffed into a sealed container at our facility, with photos shared before it leaves the yard.

  6. 06

    Port Loading & Sailing

    Step 06

Export FAQ

Common questions from importers

Can't find your question here? Our export desk replies within 24 hours.

What's the minimum order quantity for export?

MOQ depends on the product form: 100 kg for powder, 250 kg for slices, 500 kg for dry roots and 1,000 kg for raw roots. Mixed-product containers can combine several forms to reach a full or part container load.

Which Incoterm should I choose?

Most first-time buyers start with FOB Chennai for cost control, or CIF if they'd rather we arrange freight and insurance. Tell our export desk your country and volume and we'll recommend one in your quote.

Do you provide a pre-shipment sample?

Yes — a free 200g sample with a spec sheet and lab summary ships to qualified buyers before you place a bulk order.

What payment terms do you accept?

Advance telegraphic transfer (T/T), Letter of Credit (L/C) and part-advance/part-on-shipment terms are all available; the split is agreed on the proforma invoice.

How long does customs clearance take in India?

Once documents are filed, export clearance typically takes 2–4 working days, which is already built into our 7–14 day lead time to dispatch.

Can you private-label for my brand?

Yes. We offer custom-printed stand-up pouches, cartons and labels carrying your brand, barcode and certifications, with a low MOQ for a retail launch.
